We all love this song! Do you? But have you ever imagine a story behind this song? Well, this is now the answer! This is not the official story though, but can handle our thirst to the most probable unique story behind it. Well, this goes on here!
Song: A Little Too Not Over You (The Debut Series Song)
By: David Archuleta
Story By: Richard Andrei R. Sebastian
PROLOGUE …
In the famous Holland Mall in the New York, everyone is busy – including the 17 y/o David Archuleta. Tomorrow is David and his girlfriend’s – Christine, first ever anniversary. He really love Christine more than any other else’s knowledge. They cared their relationship for a year to be strong, fruitful and meaningful. Actually, he even absented in his Physics and advanced his allowance a month for the sake that he can buy the gift he is watching at the store for about two weeks now. He walked around the Holland Mall, he is not thinking or doubting if he’ll gonna buy it or not instead, he’s thinking if there’s even better gift than what he planned.
… A LITTLE TOO NOT OVER YOU …
“Gosh!” David exclaimed. “I think I should buy now before anyone have to buy that wish gift of mine.” Archie thought to him self rushing.
He now entered the “Fabulous Hollywood Jewelries”.
“Good morning, sir,” the attendant welcomed him. “May I help you?”
“Actually yes,” David smiled excitedly. “I’m actually watching a ring here, two weeks ago; it’s the “Fab and Cious 999 Elegant Series.”
The saleslady emerged with a chuckle. “Wow, it’s amazing you know the whole code name, huh? I think even to whom you’ll give it – you have an unbeatable passion of love to that person.”
“She is my girlfriend.”
The attendant led David to the ordering table and faced wonderful ring shining all-around. It is a well-rounded ring with a beautiful diamond shape as a main attraction plus crystals as small as 10 tips of our hair, finely distributed around the ring.
“$15,000, sir.”
David said nothing but … “Perfect.”
But the fact, everything seems not to be so perfect. On the secret-group-room, the secret room that David and Christine’s group of friends – that’s what they call it. Christine and Maybeline are having a little conversation.
“You know Maybeline, I’m not happy now with David.” She said than sipped the cup of tea. “I don’t even feel the old intensity of my love towards him anymore. It’s like a love gone like a boom.”
“Oh come on girl!” Maybeline exaggerates. “We’re only a 19 y/o teen. We should enjoy our lives. You don’t want David anymore, what’s wrong, break him up!”
“Do you think I should?” Christine is confused, seeking for advice.
“Do you still love him?”
“No.”
“You have answered already your question.” Maybeline said resting her back to a rest.
KRING! KRING!
KRING … KRING!
Christine’s face is shock. “My God, why I should be test this early?” She answers her phone.
On the line David speaks as early as Christine answered the phone, giving her no chance to say hi first.
Archie rushed. “Hey, Loves, I have already sent messages to our friends, we’ll conduct a party tomorrow. Remember tomorrow? June 24 2009 our anniversary!”
Maybeline is gesturing “What? Speak up.”
Christine said quietly, “Oh yeah.” with no happiness at all. “Hmm. Ok … Yes. Ok. Ok.” Then Christine shut the phone.
“What happened? You are supposed to break him!”
“He is so happy.” Christine said with no human life, it’s like the land and sky meet-up. “His happiness is incomparable. I’d never seen him as contented as that before for the past 12 months. I can still feel the heat of his love to me; no one can refuse that, but me? How foolish am I?” she slapped her hands to her face and cry out loud. Maybeline embraced her; feeling sorry for her advice.
Deep inside of Maybeline, she wants to help her friend solve the love problem. When they have apart, Matbeline went directly to home, thought Christine’s problem how she can help a little bit.
JUNE 24 2009 ARRIVED. David Archuleta is excited for his gift to Christine; Christine feeling so sorrow alone at her bed thinking if she should break-up David; and Maybeline made-up her mind on how she can help the love game. The question existing is … “Will everyone going to come up with correct decisions?”
Christine at 7:00 a.m. is still knocking off herself to think what she should do. She is trying to balance everything: follow her heart and feeling that she’s not happy anymore with David or wait ‘till everything calm down. Which is which?
“Yes! Let’s face that I don’t love anymore David,” she spoke to herself. “But I think I shouldn’t end it like this. Our anniversary? With a party? Then break everything to him? Oh come on.”
It is a long sunny day of June’s madness, intensifying the idea and situation between her and the word love. Finally, Christine made up a decision.
“I’m playing this game like this,” she told and constructed her mind. “I’m not going to split with David right this moment, maybe a week after, two weeks, three … or one month? Hugghh!!! I don’t know. That’s, not break him right now!”
Christine actually made a decision that’s for good of everyone. But on the other sight of the sun, Maybeline is decided as well to blend in this moment. She’s deeply thinking hard. She thought this way:
“Fine!” She cried sitting up from laying to her bed. “My closest friend needs my help. She’s in trouble between two unlike options. Ok I think I should inform David first that Christine wants no more any relationship with him, at least he should know how to act.”
Oh … no. Maybeline blended warm water to a cold freezing as ice. This might cause misinterpretations toward David.
“Hello David,” Maybeline called David. “I think we should chat for sometime, right now.”
They both hung-up. At 8:00 a.m., they were both at Neon Park’a Restaurant. At this moment, no one can predict what will happen next, either good or … disaster.
David is actually confident; he’s thinking that Maybeline will construct a plan for their anniversary. But everything what’s he is thinking is actually the reverse.
“Oh Maybeline,” Maybeline just arrived. Archie is strongly smiling towards Maybeline. While she is thinking forward to be frank since this is a last minute plan.
“Ok, David, we are friends since we’re at high school. Let me be frank to you ever observed something about Christine towards your relationship with?”
David, now nervous. “Ahm … No?”
“Ok. I don’t really know how to say this right, but Christine open up to me yesterday and she said that she no longer want you …”
It is now 5:00 in the afternoon, two hours to go before 7:00 p.m. – the time set for the party.
David is in his room, calculating everything Maybeline had said and elaborated; he wanted to emphasize those words but can’t think of nothing else but Christine, he wanted to say something although he don’t know where to start, it’s like he is on the moon – lonely as the light it gives, crossing the thought that he wants to die at that moment, giving no space for explanation and forgiveness. But he know he needs to do something fast and correct. He wanted to come up with a decision but nothing lingers in his mind.
He picked his camera. Opened the memory, looked and thought of every memories it posses, every click of ‘next’ yields a very special memory. He can still remember the joy they both shared every part of the world, but now … he only feels the pain in his heart.
He eyed the ring case he bought yesterday. He wanted to throw it and destroy but something keeps telling him he shouldn’t.
His cell phone vibrates, Christine calling on the line.
On the other side of the world, Christine already knew that Maybeline had declared everything to David without her permission. She’s not happy with that; unlike Maybeline who’s very happy to deliver that news to her. She wanted to clear everything to David but she don’t know how, that’s why she thought to call him up.
David answers saying nothing.
Christine said, “David, I cancelled already the party. Ahmmm … everything is not cleared we need to talk. Can we, now?”
“Yes.”
They both hung-up. They are actually both unprepared for that. They did not even change clothes anymore and went directly to secret-group-room. Christine came first, David followed after 10 minutes.
“David, I’m so sorry,” Christine’s introductory words. “Yes, me and Maybeline talked about that matter but I don’t mean it today, as today is our anniversary.”
David’s tears swell around his eyes as soon as “anniversary” comes out of mouth of Christine. “One Question … Do you still love me?”
Christine cannot answer but a bow and a cry. David without saying a word walked out from the room, solemnly and out-minded. Christine cried out loud hiding nothing, ran and embraced him tight at the back, don’t want David to leave.
“David …. Please understand me.” Then she cried.
He don’t like drama scenarios, he pushed away her embraced and emerged to the door. At his last step out at the door he said …
“I just want to say a farewell words. Now Christine, I’m on my own and I will let you go but mark this, I’ll never understand …”
He left.
6 months after … David came back to New York from a vacation to Utah to his grandmother. The whole group of friends is invited to Miranda’s 18th birthday.
At the event, Christine came and David appeared as well. The whole event’s fine knows it is for the sake of their friend. They ate at one round table, safe and apart. They cross their ways but hi nothing, smiled nothing, as in nothing. It is over-all a nice event for everyone, knowing that Christine have a new boyfriend who is belong to their group, named Rocky. Going back at their homes David drive back with trace of upcoming tears. He entered his home with tears flowing, but never minding it; then went straight to room. He thought …
“I thought 6 months is sufficient … but it’s not, for the past 180 days, I tried to move on. But I see you sometimes I tried to hide, what I feel inside. My inside feeling of … Loving her still. But instead when we cross ways … I turn around, you’re with him now, I just can’t figure it out …”
David’s phone rang, Christine on the line feeling the same guiltness on the opposite side. David decided to answer.
“David, I’m sorry I’ve shouldn’t came there … with … Rocky.”
David is trying to hide his cry. “You never cross my mind at all, it’s what I tell myself, for the past 6 months. Because … what we had has come and done, you’re better off with someone else. It’s for the best, you know it is.”
“David that’s why I’m saying … “
“Tell me why!” he interrupted her, now crying. “You’re so hard to forget, don’t remind me, I’m not over it. Tell me why? I can’t seem to face the truth. I’m just a little too not over you.”
Quietness for a minute. He’s now crying remembering everything.
“ … eh … “ Christine said.
“Our memories,” he interrupted again. “Suppose to fade, what’s wrong with my heart? Shake it off let it go didn’t think it’d be this hard. Should be strong, moving on. But I see you sometimes I tried to hide what I feel inside … “
“David … I still love you!” Christine shouted.
“No you don’t!” he speaks up everything he wants. “May be I regret, everything I said knowing to take it back. Now I’m on my own, I will let you go … I’ll never understand, I’ll never understand.”
David shut his phone.
… Wait for the most wanted epilogue!!!
Rocky and Christine
Author’s note: I know I can’t perfect this story for the first try. I know I need improvements, I want now for co-writers, admin, beloved readers to suggest the best ending for the David-Christine love story. I want this A Little Too Not Over You to be quite unfinished, who knows, this may call for the second song to fill their love story?

I think it should end with a year passes by and David becomes a popstar and all and he realeased a little too not over you as a single and then Christine knows its about her and they see each other again while David is walking the streets of New York and they pause smile and move on with their lives.

Yes i have read this one and it is very good!
I love the start of the amazing series.
I dont think it would be boring if the stuggle continues, thts how series continues or they would end sorta like why
in gulligans island, they could never build a boat bc it would have end the series. and so on with others.
But any song u do next i believe will be just as great:)
