Burkey, does it seem at times as though David has only 20 supporters left? Doesn’t it make you sad then angry that his support is not doing their job on this TWEETERWALL thing. And you have to wonder what the heck is going on. We earned the name FANATICS because of David and our fierce devotion to him and now look at us. It’s so maddening to vote every 20 minutes and see the same number or darn near the same number of votes come in.

You have to wonder what he’s really getting in the TCA. No matter what it is or where it is it is David’s name being voted on. It just pains me to think that David or his family is tracking that competition and seeing what is going on and the lack of support from his base. As little support as he is getting in both comps, he’s actually getting more support in the worldwide thing that the USA comp.

I don’t make promises, but I declaed that I would be dedicated to supporting DJA in whatever way possible and I do. And Burkey you and I and the rest of the voters who loe David enough to want to see him always at #1, let’s keep voting. The USA thing ends Tuesday morning. If Adam doesn’t steamroll David by then, He will not be in another mallplace competition. If this is all the respect his fans and supporters can muster for this man, that’s on them. Please don’t anyone enter his name in there again. David deserves so much better from those who said they had his back.

maxie2g0, I totally agreed that David’s fans are suffering from voting-fatigue. Oh my heck, we couldn’t even make David’s cd album platinum in USA which is a shame. This is very disappointing, especially when David is working so hard for his career and he’s so deserving of much more acknowledgement than he’s getting. Bad economy, neglectful promotion, fierce competition, voting fatigue, other distractions, etc. are some of the reasons our David is struggling in different pollsters. I’m truly sorry but it’s the truth. Only time will tell and someday our David will be recognized as one of the great artists of this generation. thanks for your time.

Yes, I do get discouraged that some of his fans are not “in to” this voting thing. I am definitely doing my part because I am just crazy about this guy! Such talent & charisma with a beautiful soul. They don’t come around like that only once in a lifetime.

BTW, I just voted over at best male solo artist & he moved into 2nd place with my vote! Not sure for how long though. I am using a timer.

#9 Burkey: I’m very suspicious of current results on the Twitter polls. I have my theories, but suffice it to say that several weeks of voting trends do not support the huge numbers Lambert is suddenly getting. I’m with maxie2go in that I will not participate in any more Twitter polls after the current 2 are over. I do not believe Mallplace has sufficient safeguards in place to prevent power voting techniques, especially when you consider that the administrator of the site has admitted hacking took place in prior weeks.

And about Lambert and Allen. I think there’s a lot of manipulation on the part of the site itself. You have to read the rules carefully. And notice that they don’t mention voting every twenty minutes anymore. Also, David’s numbers aren’t turning over. They blame it on Flash Adobe. However, Sites are able to control voting. Another site owner told me that. So if it sounds unbelievable that David is getting only 20 votes a segment, maybe it’s becuase Mallplace is cropping his votes to get more ppl interested in voting. Afterall, who wants to vote on something that is a foregone conclusion. It’s in their interest to stop David from winning every thing he’s in. And the Idols are the only ones with enough of a base up there to do that. BTW, what ever happend to Jordan Knight’s fans. *shakes head…something is definitely rotten in Mallplace. When this thing ends Tuesday. let not put David back in there. All of our effort will be needed in the next three months for TCA. He excitied about that and let’s get all 3 cats for him. :)

@Burkey: I’m sorry, I forgot to address what you said about my posting a lot for David James. I just can’t shut up about the man. I haven’t done my blogs on My Space or DIOH in a few weeks because of the voting but I still try and send him a note that I hope he scan at least once a week.

We who worked for David in HN.C know the value of BUZZ, so yes, I buzz him up on as many columns and sites as I can. David is a phenomenal artisan but his persona, his character his humanity to man is so pristine. I have this blog in my that ties David’s life to Michael Jackson’s I think, but I am so busy I just can’t get it down.

@Elaine: Who knows. I really think that AI is a huge part of why David’s base has eroded. I was totally surprised at how many of DJA’s fans were willing to watch this season since they said they supported David. The true AI. There is no way to watch that show and not get invested in the ppl on it. When I go into a DJA site and see Lambert or Gokey or Allen’s pics as sigs, my soul bleeds for David. DOn’t they know David is only human. And this stuff must have him concerned. Simon is a pure… well it rhymes with glass pole. As for Jive…no comment.

Q: Did it surprise any of you to see the AI nominated for tour? And why wasn’t David’s solo tour nominated Or his album for that matter?

I also wondered why David’s album wasn’t nominated in the TCA. I am just so new to this stuff that I just put it out of my mind. AND I think his solo tour was a mega success………that wasn’t nominated either.
I didn’t realize that David’s fan base has eroded……do you really think that?
I have always had the feeling that for some reason AI just wants David to fade away & not be as popular as he has been. I confess, I do not understand this stuff, but I am enchanted with David & will always be.

MAllplace execs had their hands full with that small server they started these comps with; so they went to a bigger server. This they say caused some countries to not get their nomintions in, so they are holding up the ending of some country comps. (Weren’t all those flags always up in there. And the competition stated. This thing should have ended Thursday. By Tuesday if we don’t give David at least 5k votes he will lose. Lambert is doing 5k today a holiday. He was doing 7k a day. I know, I know.

Anyway, the USA country comp will ends around 6 or 7 New York time on Tuesday morning. But again, if we don’t vote heavily for David, he will not win.

I don’t know if the Solo thing will end on Tuesday or not. There is mention of it in the closing on the Home Page but no date is given.

#15 Burkey: No, David’s fan base has NOT eroded. David is gaining new fans here in the U.S. on his tour with Demi Lavato, and his popularity abroad, especially in Asia, keeps on growing. One cannot – and should not – gage David’s success based only on polls, especially these Twitter ones. Voter fatigue is to be expected. I mean, how many weeks can go by with polls which allow votes every 20 minutes before people start to tire. Remember the Danny Gokey voters on the Mr. Twitter Universe poll? What happened to them? They must have decided to spend their time on other pursuits. Polls can be fun, and I myself participate in all of those of which I am aware; however, I have a competitive nature, and I realize that not all fans, no matter how supportive of David, will decide that these polls are where they will choose to expend their energy.

David Archuleta has some of the most creative, charitable, and intelligent fans on the face of the planet. I routinely read comments and articles on several of the fan sites, including international ones, and I am constantly amazed and gratified at what a wonderful fan community has gathered to support David. If there is a weak link to be found, it is in the way his record label has handled the release of his singles in the U.S. after “Crush.” A completely botched job if you ask me. They especially missed the boat on “Zero Gravity.” Yes, they finally capitulated and made it available for sale on iTunes, but with proper promotion, I truly believe ZG would have been David’s next big hit.

For a new artist, especially one in the pop genre, David has done remarkably well. There will be many hills and valleys to climb and traverse, but a talent as enormous as David’s will not be held back. As for American Idol: Who cares? I have come to despise that show based on the shenanigans and manipulation we all have learned goes on there. The more distance between David and those creeps, the better. David himself has stated that he doesn’t want to be remembered as “that kid from American Idol.” The only good thing I can say about that show is that it does introduce talent to the world, David being the first and foremost amongst them.

Because the jordan Knight large total he came from behind with thousands of votes and they said it was from twitter!!!Can anyone find out if we can teitter our votes in! That would also explain why Adam in going so fast!! Someone also said that we can vote by email on TCA for nominations! I have been emailing for Choice Twitter, Role model, song Zero Gravity and I think that we should add his 3 other ones to the list. Breakout arist, love song and tour. Does anyone know how to contact them and ask it we can send unlimited emails! I read on some website that we could email as much as we want on all nominations! I also hear that Davids new album(rumor would be called Zero Gravity) so I think that the song will eventually be a hit! On itunes it is #35.
DAvid is doing great!! He is gaining new fans by leaps and bounds so dont get discouraged folks. These things take time and to have sold 715,00 albums is amazing that isnt even including sales from this tour or Internationally! The Demi Tour is going to work out really well for him getting more new fans than his own solo tour! Everyone that is new talks about how they didnt know any song except Crush! Now they are crazy about him! I believe this is the right way for David to grow! If it goes any faster I dont think it would be good for David!I know I cant bear the fact that songs like My Hands and You Can may never hit the radio but he will and is going great!Jive has commited to 2 more albums that show they know he is special! Soon he will be known to all the world as we see him-but there will be bumps and valleys and I know we will all be there for him. hunnzy: I’m pretty sure you must vote through the Mallplace website. The site created the polls in order to get as many hits as possible and attract potential new shoppers. I’m thinking Jordan Knight probably solicited votes from his fans via his Twitter account, and that they then went to Mallplace to vote. If anyone else knows differently, then please explain!

I hope you’re right about “Zero Gravity,” but it seems strange that they would have released it on iTunes so early if it’s going to be a part of his next album (not including the Christmas one), which I understand will be released for sale in early 2010. Either way, I can’t wait!

I believe that David still has a lot of support, I do love fan blast but check out snarky archies and archuleta avenue too if you haven’t already, they really love him too and have alot of neat things on their fansites. I also think that we should do our best to help david win those TCA awards, they would be more important for him to win then twitter, maybe. I wish we could help him get his album back on the billboard chart, the tour does’t seem to be helping him so much that way, but he sure is giving some amazing shows, so maybe it will eventually work.

samantha, that’s one thing I really, really like about the Arcies in the Philippines…you are all doing a great job in making David’s songs and videos on the top#1. Actually, I’ve read it from the other Fansite that TMH is #1 in your 5 music countdowns. More than a year ago, the people who watched David James Archuleta on AI had such dedication to him that we earned the name FANATICS. And no matter what came up with David’s name attached, we supported it. Especially if we saw him in danger of losing. We could rally ourselves in a heartbeat and pull him to a win.

I wonder if any of you have ever gone back and read some of what we said back then about this young man. How fiercely devoted we were to him. David is still the same David only more polished seasoned and so much more hard working. He shows up for all of his promos and tour dates, performs even when sick or near the point of exhaustion, and does flawless sets. Seeing him singing his heart out and sweating as he doesdoesn’t cause me to say, I’m tired of voting, It makes me want to give him even more support.I still support CRUSH I still send teamarchie money each Thursday to gift the song. And some of David’s supporters asked why. Do I really have to tell a member of David’s fan base why you would buy CRUSH still?

I really have to give the COOKIES credit for the way they lifted Light On to the top of the charts from where it was beyond #100.

David James’ fanbase is eroding. His core base that watched him every epi of AI and can’t vote for him because they may be fatigued? Fatigued? Suppose David didn’t meet his dates because he was fatigued. The man is exhausted but he still does what he has to do.

I hate this. I just hate it, and I keep pushing chris to get a newsletter or a PM system in here or something. David is gaining new fans at every stop. But that new fans; they don’t have the same love and devotion to/for David as his core base. Where is his core now? I have been writing down every change in David’s numbers on that thing since Mr. Tweeterer(unless I kiss my desk), and when I say he gets onlt 20 votes or so, I mean that. Now if that isn’t erosion what is it. I’m tired also but I still vote for David on all the DDD. If there isn’t erosion then it’s even worse because it’s apathy. I’m not willing to sit and write 1000 post threads or watch every video from every concert date. when doing that where is there time to vote. No one should be coming close to David in this tweeter thing, UNLESS we sit back and allow it. Then if he loses, ask how did he lose.
