Burkey: I’m having people email me asking me how to vote via Twitter. I’m completely clueless since I don’t even own a cell phone. Can you please write out detailed instructions? Thanks!

I do not twitter myself, but I think what they do is use twiitter to remind people to vote.
That twitter link @ http://bit.ly/4wTsGt just takes them to the web address where they then can vote.
People can vote from their cell phone and/or ipod if they are away from their computer & have internet access.

I think that is the way it goes :-)

Hey Burkey-

Do you know how to vote on a cell phone once you link to the twitter site from a cell. When I access the link, all I see are the actual #’s. I don’t see a box with an “X” to be able to vote.

David is going to need more people voting to be able to win this one. Adam is moving up so fast that I believe he can snatch the #1 spot before the Mr. Twitter USA ends on 7/7/09.

Any guidance you can give me on how to vote from my cell would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well I am not sure because I have a cell phone but my phone does not have internet access.
I do have an iPod and here in my house with internet access I can access the web site and vote just like I was on the computer.
I would think you would be able to do the same on a cell phone if you have internet access.
I didn’t realize that all you could see were #’s. I thought that twitter link took you to the web site where you could vote. Can you vote from your cell phone at the actual web site?

From what I can see, I’m not actually able to vote. I see the #’s but not box and no “+”. I do try and highlight David’s #’s and then press go but I’m not sure that actually does anything. You would think I could vote having access to the web from my phone but for the life of me I just can’t figure it out. What I see on my phone web is different from what I see on my computer.

Oh well. I’ll just keep voting from my computer. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that David can hold on!!!!

TwitterWall Voting Tips:

1. Open a Firefox window.

2. Paste this link: http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/usa/mr-twitter-usa in the address field.

3. Create multiple tabs with that same link. The number of tabs you can create will depend on how much RAM memory you have.

4. Here is a quick way to create tabs: Press Ctrl and the T button together (to create a tab) then press Ctrl and the V button together (to paste the twitter link) then press Enter.

5. Note: Create the tabs before voting at each tab. After voting you will get another chance to vote again after 20 minutes, perhaps sooner. You can check every few minutes by pressing F5 (to refresh) at any one of the tabs to see if the plus sign returns. Once it returns, refresh all the tabs first, then vote again.
