I went to go and get David’s new Christmas album at an FYE store in an area mall after school yesterday. I go in and I’m looking around in the new CD section. I couldn’t find it. Meanwhile my friend is just laughing at me because they know how much this CD means to me and how irritated I was getting. So, they decided to go up and ask a guy if they had it. He said, “No we don’t have it, it hasn’t come out yet.” (I’m thinking “I’M NOT LEAVING HERE WITHOUT IT!” haha) so trying to sound polite I said, “Yes it has. It came out everywhere today!” So this other guy comes up and says what are you looking for? I said, “The David Archuleta Christmas CD.” So he looks it up and says, “Yeah it’s supposed to come out today.” The other guy said to me “Well we’re not allowed to sell it yet.” Ohhh he was getting me mad! haha…. I really wanted to say “Buddy, I don’t care it says it comes out today so sell me a copy so I can go!” haha But the other guy goes in back and comes out with a copy and says “Let me check if I can sell it to you” He rung it up and said yeah I can but it’s not on sale do you still want it? OMD! Now I’m thinking “WELL OF COURSE IT’S NOT! IT JUST CAME OUT TODAY! OF COURSE I STILL WANT IT OR I WOULDN’T BE IN HERE ASKING FOR A COPY! DUGH I WANT IT” lol so I finally got my copy after 15 min.! I thought 1. either they’re clueless or 2. They know how to really mess with David Archuleta fans that have ODD!!! LOL :)

yeah i know lol but i only had time to go to the mall cuz i had to b somewhere lol… also i wanted to prove my point that it did come out that day and that i was sure they had some lol… i like to prove my point if i know im right lol haha :)

LOL!! That happened when my mom went to get it for me too. She comes home, and I’m like “Where is it?!?!” and she just shrugged at me. Then she tells me she asked for it at Walmart and they looked at her like she was crazy. I nearly had a heart attack. My mom let me panic for a couple seconds, then told me she went to Best Buy.

david1228- haha lol! I hate that people look at me crazy when I ask like where his CD is. they’re like “Whose that?” or they laugh and are like “no sorry haha” oh well… lol as long as I get it, I could care less what other people think! :)

caitlin #5- That is a cute story. I know how frustrating it can be when you’re on a David hunt. When I go to Walmart and Target, I usually check to see if his name is there and organize his one or two C.Ds

I called super walmart in the daytime to make sure they would have it. They said they had 3 copies, so I met my daughter there at 11. We went back to ck on it and they had them but wouldn’t bring them out til midnight. We shopped for an hr then went back to electronics and started “bugging” them again.lol They went in the back and brought a cart filled with boxes that had a big sign “released on 10-13! When they got to the cd’s,we started going thru the box searching for D. There was 3, I bought 2 and my daughter bought the other 1. Couldn’t believe there was only 3, couldn’t believe there wasn’t 100 other people waiting for his cd and where was the band and the banners, etc.??? The 2 salesgirls were nice, but they acted totally removed from the whole thing. I had called another store to see if they had it and they thought I was talking about Cook. I said no it’s the other one, the one that can sing.lol They didn’t have any copies, but he said it might get on the computer by morning. I sure don’t like the way his album is promoted! I wanted to go and get 6 or 8 hard copies to give as gifts. I ordered2 from Amazon but haven’t got them yet. I think what they’re doing is eventually having us download all albums from internet.
I absolutely love the album. Want to listen to it over and over. It is typically David Archuleta, totally habit forming!!

you guys actualy are quite lucky,even if you have to wait a whle to get it or if you have to go from shop to shop.Itl probably never come to Nam.I sadly seem to be the only David fan here :(.And it sucks! Iv opted to downloading his songs cse i cnt get ‘em any other way,id pay tripple just for one if i could…Wish i could support by buyin bt i cant…Sowie:(

Here’s my story: A few weeks ago had my husband go to a music store and he prepaid for David’s album for pick-up on the 13th. So now he goes back to the store to get it (the store had it already bagged up). He hands me the bag and “EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK” its “Christmas IN the Heart” (Bob Dylan). I waited, heart pounding, angry, while he returned to the store. Thank God they did had a “David” album to exchange. So I played the album and all the anger left and all was forgiven. That’s what I love about David. The Christmas album IS supurb, beautiful.

@ndalila: There’s always a way to get David’s CD, thanks to Team Archie. Jan #8- How are you? So nice hearing from you. I love the part about, “No, the other one that can sing”. That’s so funny. I say that a lot to people at the retail stores. I get angry because they don’t have many of David’s CD on the shelves, especially on the debut week. I always wonder, “How can the album sell a lot of copies if they only have four or five on the shelf.?” Worse yet, how about none at all. That’s why we are the best fans in the world, we’re not afraid to let them know who and what “is” a David James Archuleta! Annoying? No, just perservering when it comes to David and he deserves to be out there and recognized for the great SINGER that he is.

Thanks, supergrandj. I’m always reading here, but don’t comment too often. This fan site is so totally dedicated, that’s for sure. I live in the midwest, so we have a Midwest David Archuleta fansite and most everyone has met each other and goes to concerts together, etc! We’re going to the KC concert on Dec 8th; about 7 of us going VIP. It’s going to be so awesome to hear him sing some of those Christmas songs in person!! This will be my 4th concert and the 3rd time to meet him. Seen him here in July at VIP and had a great time interacting with him. He is so much fun and down to earth.
Supergrandj, aren’t you the one that had a new grandbaby last winter?? If so, how’s he doing, probably growing like a weed!

Hahaha…supergrandj#6, I was doing the same thing! Everytime I go to Wal-Mart, I’m checking out if there’s David CD, even if it’s just one or two, then I tried to reorganize it front and center of the shelve so anyone could see it!At times it was way behind the other artist’s album and I can’t find it. But this time, Wal-Mart in my area had lined up David’s CFTH on top along with the other best selling Christmas albums. As far as I can remember there was 5 CFTH Cds on display!#8jan,thanks for sharing your story!!Nobody can underestimate David’s fans!!

Jan #15- Yes, I’m that supergrandjudie that had a new grandbaby last winter. Little Lucas James is quite big. He’ll be one year old on Dec. 2. He looks just like Spanky from the “Little Rascals”, so that’s what I call him. His hair do, eyes and chubby little cheeks look just lke him. He’s adorable and so good natured. Thanks for asking. I’ll be going to the winter tour,too. I got VIP for Stroudsburg, Pa. Take care!

Caitlin…I love your story!!If I’m that young as you are, I would do the same! I love David’s music and I will do everything to get it!!I bought mine at Wal-Mart, and it was almost 7pm, although I pre-ordered a couple from Amazon!!I didn’t expect to receive my order on time so I went looking for it myself!Target has them too!
