David Achuleta it doesn’t matter how you speak we all know you have the greatest heart!! And the best voice!! I am a huge fan of yours and I have my tickets for your show in Cleveland. That will be the best Christmas present for me!!

I hope we can hear the rest of his talk to the ladies in Utah. He was adorable. Yes, he repeats things, but he’s so cute doing it that you don’t mind. I’m sure if he listens to what he’s said after he speaks (whether its this speech or his blogs) he’ll eventually be able to keep himself from being repetitious. But what a darling he is. The more you see him, the more you want to see him. The Christmas album is wonderful. What a great job he’s done. While I love all the carols, Ave Maria is totally special but my personal favorite remains O Holy Night.

rose #2- If you go to You Tube you’ll be able to see most of the speech. It’s under the title of the video that’s in here by pattycake04.

David is so adorable! I heard he was a hit with the ladies at the Women’s Conference. I live in Utah and a lot of people there thought he was charming & sweet!! Many of the ladies were older and brought their Christmas cd’s for him to autograph. They thought he was precious, just like we all do.

My sister and I went and saw David at the Women’s Conference. From the moment he walked onstage and flashed his gorgeous smile, in his dark suit, white shirt, skinny dark tie and black and white converse tennis shoes, the audience was hooked. There were women there in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s on up. Senator Hatch & his wife were there and they are probably in their 70’s. Senator Hatch said he & his wife voted for David on their landline & cell phones when he was on AI. At the end of David’s speech, the Senator asked David to sing a song. David sang a verse of “Oh Holy Night” and you could hear a pin drop. After singing, he received a standing ovation.

David’s speech was a little rambly but no one cared because he was so sweet. When a break came, a lot of women gathered around David with their Christmas cd’s they had brought in and David autographed as many as he could. David was his charming self and everyone enjoyed being around this beautiful, charismatic, sweet, adorable, humble man-child.

When I got home I showed my autographed cd to my husband. He said, “aren’t you a little old to be a groupie of an 18 year old pop star?” I sheepisly walked into another room and started listening to the cd and then came back out and said, “I’m a David Archuleta groupie and I’m proud of it”. My husband just shook his head and continued to read the newspaper.

I forgot to mention in my comments above that my sister and I are 42 & 44. We are old enough to be David’s mother and we were acting like giddy teenagers when we were getting our cd’s signed by David. It was fun though!!

breanne #5&6- Thanks for your story about you and your sister at the Women’s Conference. Sounds like you both had a great time. Isn’t it something how people of all ages love David? Your description of him is right on. I’m old enough to be his grandmother and need to hear or see David everyday. One cannot but help but be proud that they have such a fantastic human being, like David, to admire and follow in his career. It is a fantastic journey of fun and a feeling of sweet contentment. Whatever David does brings a SMILE to your face and he makes your heart SMILE, too! Thanks again, more power to you!

supergrandj: Your welcome! I just wanted to share with everyone our fun day of seeing David. We are also going to be seeing him in concert on 11/24/09 in SLC. My sister is bringing her 12 year old daughter. Her dance group danced to David’s version of “Imagine” this past year and won a trophy at their dance review. She loves him too!
