Looks like CBS decided to not televise any of David’s performances. :(

Here are a few photos, a quick video and a sound recording of David performing God Bless America…

See what I mean? The good thing is that people at the game, got to see and hear David’s amazing talent. You go David!!!

David won the #6 on J-14 Magazine’s Hottest Stars of 2009. I don’t think most of us even knew about that poll so it is great that he got #6. If we would have known about it, he would have gotten #1. Justin Bieber got #1. I just don’t get the whole Justin Bieber thing at all?!?!

P.S.: There is a a little piece about who made the list for J-14 Magazine’s Hottest Stars of 2009 on archuletaavenue.com if anyone wants to read about it.

It’s true sunny, I just knew j-14 Magazine about 4 days ago. I read somewhere that Justin Bieber is 15 years old, I never heard his songs. I’ll try to know why he got #1. Does he have a good voice???

What’s the matter with CBS? I recorded the Sun Bowl. When I got home from work I watched the video and I didn’t see David’s performance. Why CBS cancelled it? I wished at least I’ll see David sang one song. GGGRRRR!!!

mara08, I’m glad you mentioned that because I recorded the Sun Bowl too. I was at work and can’t watched it on TV. So, then in that case I’m not gonna waste my time to watch the video (the whole game). They should have at least aired the opening…. as David had tweetered he’s about the sing the anthem! That would be great because he’s really good at it. Any way…Happy New Year to All!!Just saw Kris Allen and Alison on TV for the “new year concert”. Can’t remember which channel…I think it was FOX. Then Daughtry at Ryan/Dick Clark countdown on ABC!!I hope David will be able to perform too the next time!!!

lyn #6- Do you mean that they didn’t show David singing the National Anthem either? I thought I missed it because I didn’t turn the T.V. on till 2:05 EST. I hope I misread your post because then I would really be steamed if that were true. Did anyone see the show from beginning to end? I’m thinking of sending an e-mail to CBS and the two major sponsors, Brut and Geico!

supergrandj…No…! they didn’t show David’s SSB and GBA performances. I set my recorder 5mins before the time of the actual schedule that game will start to air on TV. They started with the intruduction of the teams and some clips from th previous games and the players as well as the fans. There were some clips from the Fiesta?…I guess it was. I was frustrated myself. The youtube sound quality of his performances are not that good though, but I hope David performed his best as usual!!!

I was disappointed also that they didn’t air anything, but I heard that the sun bowl people are going to put up videos of David singing the national anthem and god bless america up on youtube, I hope they do, but in the meantime there are a couple of halfway decent videos up on snarky archies and archuleta avenue. He did a great job on Don’t Stop Believing and Zero Gravity. Crush was great as always too. Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks redsky25 for the info, at least I’m able to see David performed. I don’t know what’s wrong with CBS. They rather showed Adam, after ABC cancelled him. “Don’t Stop Believing” was amazing. Now we know (I think we already knew it since long time ago) that David can sing any kind of song amazingly. He can sing country, ballad, jazz, rock, whatever song.

Sunny, it's because his management people have invested a lot of money to promote him because he
really can't sing and visually there is nothing outstanding about him. They are coaching him to pretend to
be a black entertainer. At times he appears senseless for his young age wanting to be something he literally is not. If David had a good, honest and sincere management and label company and go out there
way to promote this unique talent as they should, David would be top notch entertainer and more recognizable than he is now. Why won't his management and label company promote David? I think it all
has to do with dirty money under the table between Jive records, Disney, Freemantle, 19 Entertainment
as well as the Azhoff. I feel they are all connected and want to control David's career to keep him low key
at one's request for the money in order to keep him out of another performer's way. Possibly little bieber. People are so corrupt these days. Take a look at the rigging from American Idol during David's votes for season seven.

Hello administrator, it's okay that you deleted my comment. At least you read it. The truth can sometime hurt
right?

Actually, as you can see, we did not delete your comment. It showed up in the dashboard although it didn't show on here, so all I did to make it show was to first unapprove then re-approve your comment. (It was originally approved to show up.) We don't delete comments unless they are intentionally inflammatory; however, we do edit comments if people use foul language or leave personal identifying information in their posts. In those cases, there is a note added to that comment saying it's been edited. We strive to make this site a clean one for all ages as we do have tween-aged children who come on here to read the latest David news. Along with that, we aim to protect those individuals who leave identifying details in their comments so they don't fall prey to a predator. (I'm not saying it's happened here, but in today's day & age, we really can't be too cautious.)

No need to be so suspicious of conspiracy here. All the commenters here are fairly open and/or up-front with each other. :)

Originally, I thought you were referring to David in your first couple of sentences. After re-reading them and referring back to sunny's original comment from 12 weeks ago, I see now you were talking about Justin Bieber. I have to agree with you about the direction they have been going with his career. I remember thinking how "ludicrous" it was for him to be doing a duet with Ludacris. (Speaking of Ludacris, I guess some people are willing to sell themselves out at any cost these days in order to make a buck.)

I'm not as certain I can agree with your conspiracy theory regarding the comparatively slower pace of David's career. Could Jive and Azoff be doing more to promote David? Absolutely; there's no doubt about it. Frankly, I don't think either realized the extraordinary artist they have on their hands when they first signed up to work with him. Despite the lack of promotion, David's first two album releases are considered very respectable sales wise, and "Crush" has been an enormous hit. Based on these successes, it appears his label has given freer reign in writing and recording songs for his sophomore pop album, and he has been working with top notch writers and producers. This is very encouraging, and it lends me to being cautiously optimistic regarding better promotion this time around.

Just so you know, accordingly to Wikipedia Beiber is signed with Island Def Jam Music Group, which is under Universal Music Group. As far as I know, Universal has no ties to Jive, which operates under the Zomba Label Group and is owned by Sony Music Entertainment. Given these facts, there is no evidence to suggest they would hold David back in order to benefit Bieber since Jive appears to be in direct competition. In any case, Bieber – at least at this point in his career – is strictly teen idol material. Unless he develops as an artist, I do not anticipate his career will be a long-lasting one. In contrast, David is light years ahead of Bieber talent wise, and he has a much broader-based fan group which includes adults of all ages as well as tweens and teens. Frankly, I have always been happy not to see David's face plastered all over the teeny-bopper magazines. In the long run that can often be a career killer. Not many teen stars graduate to the next level, especially when they are so pigeon-holed to the tween/teen market.
