Before it gets out of hand, the buzz about David Archuleta opening for David Cook in the Philippines on January 27th is simply a rumor. For more on the date click here.
Our fan email bag is filling up with inquiries about David’s 2009 World Tour to promote his self-titled debut album. A few suspect it will start with Cook. Sorry but even the fans can tell you why this wont happen. Watch the comments begin to roll…

Also, check out this All Access info, new spins are being added for Cook’s LO like crazy and none for Crush in the last week or so. It’s hard to believe that only 130 radio stations are playing Crush and not too often.

As for Archie opening for Cook, I hope Archie’s handlers know better. This would be a career suicide, imo. Enough of this second place status for Archie!!!!

We keep saying DC “won” AI. That was just the “open” voting where numbers were crossed up and unlimited votes/person allowed. The JUDGES voting was 3/3 for DA at the finale, and I call THAT the REAL win. It’s also obvious on tour where the public really stands.
La,paula did not vote for DA on the finale ,she was and is been always cook fan.She didn’t agree when simon called it a knock out and those were her words during an interview after the finale.As per DA openning for DC,not even in your dreams DC fans.AI is OVERRRRRR,got it.
I don’t think that it would be right for either of the Davids to open up for each other because David will have his album and Cook will have his. They need to promote THEIR album, not each others!
I hope David comes to Ohio or Detriot, Michigan! Then I will be able to see David in concert :)

i must agree with AJ#31. jive should be doing more in promoting David’s ‘crush’. but i think they have to give cook the chance first bec he has the title. so it’s up for us fans to help David. i’m ready to by 50+ copies of his album. well, about the opening act? i agree with most of you-THE SHOW IS OVER- david does need cook, it is the other way around. ARCHIE IS A SUPER STAR. i would agree if there was a season star to open for in the future. the am. idol tour was all about david archuleta or they would have not made any money on this tour. HATS OFF TO DAVID ARCHULETA OUR SUPERSTAR.
It would be a rip off for David if he opened for Cook!! When people open for others, it usually means they are not as good as the people they are opening for, and Archie is better. It would be EXTREMELY unfair if he opens for Cook.

You know, it’s nice to post comments here of how great everyone is or David is but if we don’t do our “Archuchores”, such as voting, requesting, and buying then I think we are missing the boat somehow. Each person’s vote or request counts towards the success of David’s single and album. Well, at least Crush is guaranteed a gold record but wouldn’t it be nice if it goes platinum? 94.3 the point just played cook’s TOML,then daughtry’s song and later on played ‘Crush’, with other artists’songs played in between these three AIs . this female dj mentioned and announced that” David Archuleta will be raleasing his first album in Nov 11, and david cook in nov 18″.
It would be nice to hear if David Archuleta will be coming over to the Philippines. I will surely go to Manila (which is 10 to 11 hrs drive from our province). I wanna meet him and hear him sing live.
AI is over,& both David’s are into the next phase of their musical careers,which will be totaly separate,&when they embark on their first Tour,it would be with another Artist/Band,whose music is very similar to their own style.David would probably tour with a young female artist,IMO.The future possibilities for David,are both Facinating,

Our David would definitely not open for cook! I doubt those two would be seen together in a concert at all. Well, with the exception of the idols tour, that is :D
But on the plus side….it’s nice to know that David is in demand here in the Philippines! Yey! Hope he visits us soon! :D

I am glad that the David’s are each going their own way although I know they will remain friends for years. They shared an incredible experience. Merlin, I agree Arnel Pineda is great. I liked Cook as a person but did not care for his singing(thought it was just becauseit was rock) but I really enjoyed Arnel. Hmmmmm!!!!
